Mr Rychlik consults privately in the Ulster Independent Clinic and has a substantive post in Dundonald as a Consultant General Surgeon.

Mr Igor Rychlik attended Medical University of Lodz in Poland between 1999 and 2005. He undertook his surgical training as a Specialist Registrar and gained his experience in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

He has completed a post graduate degree in medical education at Queens University in Belfast and continued his interested in teaching and research throughout his career where he has established a research record with several publications in PubMed Indexed Peer-Reviewed journals.

Completion of Breast and Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, Australia between 2019 and 2020 not only complemented his breast and endocrine surgery skills but facilitated oncoplastic proficiency in performing breast conserving procedures and allowing his patients to avoid mastectomy. He also build up on his reconstructive skills including autologous and non autologous reconstruction.

He passed the FRCS Exit Examination at first attempt in 2018 and also the European Board of Surgery qualification in Breast Surgery during the same year. 

Mr Rychlik’s special interest includes therapeutic mammoplasty techniques and breast reconstruction utilizing pedicle flaps.
